Our retailers are such an important part of the Wonderful World of Victoria Eggs. So, in celebration of the incredible people we work alongside, we’re proud to bring you our April Retailer of the Month.
This month, we spoke to the team over at the beautiful Thistle Hotels, based here in London.
We caught up with the manager of The Shop, Lorna, to find out a little more about their store.
Tell us a bit about your shop, Lorna.
We are a lovely little boutique gift shop situated within the 4 star Thistle Hotel at Marble Arch, central London.
We sell a carefully curated selection of gifts sourced from independent designers based in the UK.
Victoria Eggs was one of our favourite finds as the collection of mugs, teacups, and homeware hit a note with our customers who were immediately drawn to the quality of the fine bone china used and the purity of the design.
What’s the vibe in your store?
I would describe the feeling in our shop as a welcoming, vibrant calm!
What’s important to you as a shop manager?
The most important thing to me as a shop manager is the customer.
We have a great team who are wonderful at making customers feel like part of our ‘family’, so much so that they return to The Shop again and again, even when they are not staying at the hotel!
Tell us a little about your customers.
Our customers are hotel guests, so come from all over the world. The Far East, The Middle East, Europe, The Americas , Australasia... We could go on!
All of whom have different tastes, but all love anything quintessentially British!
What’s your favourite season in the shop?
Summer
Tell us about your most favourite time of the year, why is it so special to you?
I would say Christmas…it is so busy and everyone has the same happy vibe!
